Geekbench - Fast and accurate benchmark tool
Geekbench doesn't need any introduction or long description. Maybe an introduction would be in order. It's a fast and powerful benchmark tool you can use to test your system's performance with just a click of the mouse.
Downloading a 5.38 Mb kit is all that stands in your way to accurately measure your machine's performance. The installation wizard won't hinder you with any additional options. The program can be ready in a few seconds.
There's not much interface to go on. When you run the program, a small window will show up with your system's information. Choose between a 32 or 64 bit benchmark and hit the Run button from the bottom of the window and the benchmark process will start without any fuss.
After the process is complete, you'll have a long list to scroll, full of data regarding different types of performance. You can then save the results using Geekbench's own format, export it as text, HTML, XML or you can directly upload it the Geekbench Result Browser in order to share them with other people.
At a first glance, it may not look like much, but it's under the hood that Geekbench makes its mark. You can use it on different platforms like PC or MAC, and run it on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and iOS. It's basically a universal benchmark tool.
Pros:
The program allows fast and efficient benchmarking on the most commonly used platforms and operating systems.
Cons:
It has just one feature that runs great. There's nothing to complain about.
With Geekbench, you can run a benchmark task with one click. No need to navigate complex configuration settings or anything.
